The Mares XR Back Pouch offers plenty of room for a variety of items such as finger spools, marking tubes, line arrows, snaps, cutting tools, gloves, or backup mask. This a popular streamlining solution for sidemount divers maneuvering through tight restrictions to store everything they would normally keep on waist belt or thigh pockets. This is also a solution for backmount divers that need to carry bulky extra equipment such as lift bags, rescue radio or safety gear. The diver would normally butt mount this pocket at the base the backplate using two double end bold snaps (not included.)
The overall dimensions of the pouch are { L x W x D| 10.5 x 7.5 x 2 in | 20 x 15 x 8 cm } and also has mesh compartment with Velcro closure on the outside of the pouch for storing flat items such as slates, tables, or wetnotes. The front of the pouch is sewn with two pleats that permit an object as much as { 3+ in | 8+ cm } thick to be stored in the pouch.
